5 Ways to Prepare Your Dog for Your Wedding
Your dog wants to be their best at your wedding - and you can help them succeed! We asked our founder, Tasha Shaw-Verbic, about the top 5 training areas that pups-of-honour can bone up on:
Positive associations with unfamiliar things - increase your dog’s tolerance to fancy accessories, loud music, laughter and boisterous activity, children, large camera lenses, and anything else they may not normally interact with
Loose leash walking - help your dog take that picture-perfect trip down the aisle
Keeping all four paws on the ground - work on polite greetings, to ensure wedding guests stay upright and their attire stays clean
Settling - keep your dog grounded in their safe space, whether that’s on a mat or just by your feet
Comfort/ease with handling - you will need to pass your dog’s leash to someone else at some point; get your dog used to being handed over so there’s no drama on your big day
